Morse Code Works is an independent website run by Muhammad Noman Humza. It started from a simple problem: many Morse code translators online are cluttered, do not explain their errors, or cannot read Morse code written with underscores and long dashes, which is how a lot of people actually type it.
What you will find here
- A free Morse code translator that works in both directions, plays sound and light, and saves audio files.
- Reference pages such as the Morse code alphabet and numbers, with every character playable.
- Plain-English guides, from how to read Morse code to what Morse code is.
How we check accuracy
- The character table follows the International Telecommunication Union standard, ITU-R M.1677-1. Characters that are widely used but not in the standard are labelled as such.
- The translator is tested automatically on every character, in both directions, before each update.
- Historical facts are checked against published sources, which are linked on each page.
If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. Corrections are made quickly.
